These are the official rules and scoring guidelines for Pillow Fight Championship matches in ASEAN. Our structure ensures fair play, athlete safety, and high-energy entertainment for fans across the region.
Scoring Basics
Matches are strictly points-based and judged by a panel of 3 professional judges. Tiebreaker rounds are triggered if scores are even at the end of regulation time.

Key Fight Terms
Knockdown
When a fighter forces their opponent to touch the canvas with any part of the body other than their feet due to a legitimate strike.
360° Strike
A full-rotation spin strike delivered to the head. This maneuver requires technical skill and is rewarded with bonus points.
Strike to Head
Any clean, direct contact with the PFC pillow to the opponent’s head area, excluding the neck and back of the head.
Showmanship
Engaging the crowd and maintaining a high level of energy. Judges look for fighters who bring character to the ring.
Leg Strike
Strikes below the waist that cause the opponent to become unbalanced or lose footing.
DO
- Swing pillow at full forceÂ
- Dodge/Avoid strikes to the headÂ
- Incorporate showmanship into fightÂ
- Perform special moves as definedÂ
- Only strike with pillowÂ
- Hold all straps with one hand
DON'T
- Hit opponent with any part of your bodyÂ
- Drop your pillowÂ
- Grab opponent or their pillowÂ
- Push or charge opponentÂ
- No two-handed overhead strikes
Rules & Regulations
- Distance: Fighters must maintain distance; no clinching or wrestling allowed.
- No Grabbing: Any attempt to grab the opponent or their gear results in immediate point deduction.
- Charging: Charging or "bulling" into an opponent is prohibited and penalized.
- Arm Use: The non-fighting arm must not be used to block, push, or strike.
- Overhead Hits: Clean overhead hits are encouraged but must avoid the neck.
- Pillow Straps: Straps must be securely fastened; intentional dropping of pillows is a foul.
- Deductions: Point deductions are administered by the referee for repetitive fouls.
- Sportsmanship: Fighters must touch pillows before and after the match as a sign of respect.
Always respect referees and opponents. Clean fights make great champions.
